I made a chart so you would not have to guess at how many pages you can put in your albums.

SPINE SIZE NUMBER OF PAGES
1MM 1-10 pages double sided photo paper

3MM 10-25 pages double sided photo paper

5MM 25-40 pages double sided photo paper

7MM 40-55 pages double sided photo paper

9MM 55-75 pages double sided photo paper

I used an 8 x 8 3MM Spine/No window album in black. I used my Imagine Machine/plus Christmas Wish and Floral Emporium Pattern Cartridges to print all my paper for the outside and inside of the album jacket. Printed on 12 x12 white Bazzil cardstock and cut papers according to size album you are using.

I wanted this album to look like a purse...so I cut out one of the scallop images that is stored on the Imagine Machine/colorfill with the Lime Dots pattern/ hit print and cut feature. This scallop was cut at 6/6".

Ran all paper through my Xyron Machine for edge to edge adhesive. My book will be a gift I just love the colors. I used another fun tool called the I-top to make matching button to use in the center of the flower that I cut from the Cricut Cake Basic Cartridge, embossed and placed on the front for my closure. Score the scallop at center point/fold and glue to back side of album. Underneath the flower I hot glued magnets to hold the album shut.

Punched out with a ribbon punch on both sides of the scallop so I could thread ribbon through for the handles. Before attaching the ribbon I added white pearl beads for added girly bling. Ran the ribbon through the top of the scallop and lined all the inside of the album with matching paper.

Scallop border at the bottom of the album was cut 8" using the Imagine and Ribbons and Rosettes/embossed ( 2 white and one lime green) ran through xyron for edge to edge adhesive. Tied green ribbon/bow. Added my pages, placed spine side down into the book binding machine and within 90 seconds I had a professional looking photo book.

I am in love with my Imagine Pattern cartridges. Floral Emporium,/ Christmas Wish/Ribbons and Rosettes They have patterns I can use all year and bright and colorful too...well you can see for yourself above, lol

Got My awesome Letraset Markers to play with

Ok after I place all the names from Letraset and My Blog into spread sheet. This contest was a great success. Drum Roll...............Trudie Campbell you won your choiice of Promarkers.

Gift bags for the Nursing Home..make them each year.
I recently got the ProMarkers set 1 and 2 which are really great starter sets if you do own any markers. Each set has 12 markers which are dual tips and have a blender pen in each set. OMG I am in love with these markers. They do not streak at all. They blend so beautiful and easy. This is my first time working with this type of marker and it is awesome.

Since I have never had much luck using Alcohol Ink markers... I wanted to test these on different types of paper/card stock/vellum/acrylic. Here are my findings

They work great on good quality card stock and do not bleed through. I used Bazzil white card stock show here

Cheap paper here...they did bleed through so you want a good quality paper. But most markers bleed on cheap paper. Note this was thin paper not card stock, more like printer paper

Now I love how they look when you want to shade/blend/lighten or make dark. Not sure how they do it, but the blender pen is still clean after you shade. In this photo the ink is still wet..but you can use the blender pen to lighten......or if you want it dark in other areas just add more ink, but what I love is when they dry your project look so nice. I think before now this is why I did not use markers that much on any of my projects. I was always upset with how I could see the streaks and never could blend, BUT NO EFFORT HERE.....YOU JUST COLOR, BLEND, SHADE...AND PERFECT

You can use the blender pen first then add your color on top or you can color and then blend

Oh my gosh on Vellum they are beautiful and have that pretty transparent look I like. In all the photos the ink was still wet, but when dry....(.no streaks at all). Once the Vellum dried it was beautful. The dry time was just a little longer on Vellum than card stock.

All the markers have dual tips.

Here is Set 1 and 2 I will be using in my projects

I am making my Christmas Cards, gift bags, etc now and it was a good time to test out these markers. Below my Gift Bag I made. I used the markers on the Little Girl in the snow suit

I stamped my little girl on vellum and colored with the markers
Starting with the pants/gloves/shoes I used Cool Grey 4 from Set 1 the more you color the darker it gets..but if you want to lighten just use the blender pen and voila like magic it lightens.

For the scarf I wanted to make my own color so I blended Lime Green and Sky Blue from Set 1 to make more of a teal green shade. I also blend these 2 colors for sections on the winter cap. I love how you can mix the colors to make custom colors

On the face I used Soft Peach from Set 2
Hair Umber Set 2

Jacket and other sections of hat I used Red Ruby Set 1
Shaded with Cerise Set 2 and of course used the blender pen to make the color flow effortless

I used black from Set 1 to darken the lines all over the whole image after I finished coloring. It makes all the color pop. Tip make sure your image is dry...so you will get the crisp outline.

Next cut out a 3" scallop from Mini Monograms Cricut Cartridge w/ cream card stock...then used the pierce tool all around the scallop edges. I think the holes give it that added detail.

Add pop dots to back of my little girl image for 3D effect and added to the scallop. Add my red ribbon. Put side until you finish printing/cutting all your images.

I used my Imagine Machine and Cartridge Joys of the Seasons to cut out the winter Tree at 7.7" select layers, then print cut. This will give me a top portion of the tree so I can pop dot it too for dimension.
I run the whole tree through my Xyron 9" Creative Station to add edge to edge adhesive

Remember I chose to cut my tree in layers so for the top layer I used Martha Stewart Glue Pen to add glue to edge of the tree and sprinkled with Martha Stewart Crystal Clear Glitter.... attach layer to the tree for dismension....It gives it that snow dust effect.

I chose to cut out the red bird larger at 1.9" ( 2 layers pop dot for 3 D) and used the Ruby ProMarker for shading...added little glue and glitter...

Add my finish Images to the bag. One last step I used a Sentiment Stamp "THE GIFT" on lower left corner. Add red crepe paper inside

Now my bag is just waiting for the right gift to put inside. Made 40 of these bags to put treats in for the Nursing home residents

My next Project home Tea Light Lanterns from Vellum

Cut a 4 x 16 strip of Vellum, score every 4". Chose which section will be the front of your lantern.

Stamped Image on Vellum and colored in with my ProMarkers to make this cute little Christmas lanterns. For safety I used the battery operated tea lights

See how cute the finish project turned out. Thank you ProMarker you are now one of my favorite markers..actually the only Alcohol markers I will use.

Markers used Ruby Red Set 1

Umber blended with Lemon yellow for hair Set 2

Cobalt Blue for the cloud Set 2

Fold all your score lines and close the back with Vellum Adhesive...add your little battery tea light...how cute.

The Adhesive Cartridge will only go in one way...Please make sure that you place the tail of the cartridge under the black roller inside the machine

Xyron 250 machine used to add adhesive to the Letters. All stations work the same

Xyron 1.50 tool looks like an X....this tool is really great for ribbon, buttons,etc all the small embellishments. The 1.50" is called Sticker Maker...all you do is drop your small buttons,etc into the top and pull out the bottom...presto..you have adhesive back buttons....these are all a must have tool in your craft room

Clock base..any wooden plaque of choice and size will do. I am using a 10 x 10 square

Start by drilling 3/8 inch hole in the center of Wooden Plaque. Paint Front With Plaid Canary Yellow Acrylic Paint

Flip clock over and on the back center trace clock kit. Mill out the back center so the clock kit will fit flush with the base...(this step was not needed...but something I wanted to do)

Insert Clock Kit to make sure it fits..Remove to add your paper to the front of the clock face.

Cut your pattern Paper to 9 x 9 inches

Using the 9" Xyron Creative Station, run your base paper into the Xyron to add edge to edge adhesive to the back. Apply to front of Clock.

Using Imagine Machine. Insert Mini Monogram Cartridge and Mr. Frosty Pattern Cartridge. Select the Monograms for center of clock...color fill the Floral shape Monogram with Mr. Frosty Pattern Cartridge....yellow was selected for my project. Hit print and cut at 5"

Emboss with Swiss Dots folder..Run through the 9" Xyron for edge to edge adhesive. Attach to face of clock

Next select a circle from Mini Monogram Cartridge...color fill the circle with Mr. Frosty Pattern Imagine Cartridge...Yellow....print and cut at 3" Emboss with Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder. Run the 3" circle centerr through the Xyron 510 machine for edge to edge adhesive. Add to the face of clock.

Add the Clock movements according to the instructions that came with the Clock kit. I added a clear rhinestone to my second hand for added bling with the Xyron 1.5 sticker maker

Remove the Mini Monogram Cartridge and replace with Martha Stewart Cricut Cake Elegant Cake Cartridge. Choose Numbers 1, 2, 3, 6, and 9. Size to 1.8" Using Shift Key and Non Shift Key so you will have the Number and its Shadow ...color fill with the Imagine Mr. Frosty Pattern Cartridge...Yellow. . Print and Cut Emboss the Numbers with Swiss Dots Folder..

Run the Numbers through Xyron 250 for edge to edge adhesive

.attach to the front of the clock

Punch out my 3 D Butterflies. Run through the Xyron 250, Spinkle with Martha Stewart Clear Glitter.

layer and attach with Glue Dots Mini's. I attached in outer corners of clock face

My Clock is Complete...and it was made so easy with all my wonderful Xyron Products. Xyron makes adding edge to edge adhesive to all your embellishments large or small, so EASY...

You can not see all the 3 d effect because it is midnight and the light is not that good.

Here is the Project that was made so easy by having this awesome kit.
You need to cut out your flowers...any 6 petal will do.
The first flower you cut a slit between the petal all way to the center of flower
Second flower you cut one petal out complete..but do not throw away because these can be used in your center
Third flower you cut out 2 petals and put aside.

I have made these several times in different colors. I also entered the same type of bouquet at Cricut Chirp and they showed that project in January 2011 on the Cricut.com website.. I recently purchased Cricut's new cartridge Flower Shoppe and saw my pattern in the booklet I think if they high light your project that they do have the rights to copy your instructions/pattern.

Ok so on to the next step..easy just overlap all flowers and glue together where you cut out the petals. I held mine together with paper clips until the glue dried.

.Now cut off the bottom point of each flower...so they will sit inside each other..plus you can use the hole that it makes by cutting the bottom point off....to put sticks into the bottom of the assemble flower....to make stems if you want to use in a vase.
The petal you cut out of each flower can be curled and glue together to use as your center of the flower
So assemble photos 1-3 and then add your center of the flower. Now you have something that looks like this

I did spray with adhesive and sprinkle with Martha Steward Glitter. My bouquet is finished and I did not burn my fingers once using Cathie's Glue Gun Helper Kit.

I am new to sewing and Accuquilt and love it so much! I made my first project to give to my friend's granddaughter. I hope you like it and come back often to see what I make. This is my very first project.

I made the Blue Jean Tote by cutting off the pant leg and using it for the tote. So the hem of the leg is the top of my tote. The extra fabric was used to make the 2 handles.

Cut a strip at least 2 inches (5cm) wide down the length of the leg to make the strap. The outside of the leg is usually a little bit straighter. Cut the strip to the length you want, so that the purse will hang where you want it to. Leave the strip a bit wider than you want, so that there will be a seam allowance for the next step.

The handles: Sew the strip closed. Turn the strip inside-out, so that you are seeing the wrong side of the fabric. Sew it closed along one side, trying to keep the seam as straight as possible and parallel to the seam you already have.

Turn the strap back right side out. This step will be easier if you cut a generous width. It may help to use a dowel or other long, slender object to push the fabric through itself.

Now you are ready to cut off the other leg up above the hem to the length you want the tote to be. The actual hem of the leg will be the opening of the purse. Turn wrong side and seam it up. Now your bottom of tote is closed. Attach handles.

Now Cut out your Teddy Bear from Accuquilt's Go Baby die Item (#Item 55037) Baby,Baby die.

ONE TIP , if using a printed fabric, you might want to cut the die cut out first with freezer paper. This gives you a template so you can line up the die over the pattern fabric exactly where you want your cut.

Place die on Accuquilt Die Cut Machine Go Baby with foam side of die up. Then place fabric of choice on die. Place Accuquilt Cutting Mat size 6" by 12" (Item 55112) on top of fabric.

You now have what I like to call a sandwich. I cut out 2 teddy bears, 1 for my baby onsie ( purchased at Walmart by Gerber in solid white) stitch the Teddy on the front of your Onsie

added my eyes and ribbon around the neck.

For the Jean Pant Leg Tote (which will be my gift bag to hold baby products) I used the Teddy Bear from Baby, Baby die (Item # 55037) For this Teddy I cut off the head and made my own stuff head and attached. I also added a few of the starts from Accuquilt Star die (Item 55028) but I did trim them down to size with my scissors because I wanted them a bit smaller.

I stitched everything down, added the word baby...Now I have the perfect baby gift.

This is a different take on a Train Card I made last week. I was ask to make another, so I changed it up a bit by adding the Lion from the B for Boy Lite Cartridge

Cartridge used B for Boy

White cardstock cut for a 3 & 1/2"   by 8 & 1/2" (started w/white cardstock 7 x 17 scored half way mark)

Train cut @ 3" in Red, Navy, Black, Yellow Cardstock
Tiger cut @ 3" in Mango, Yellow, Brown and used Wiggly Eyes size 7mm

Top Layer Light Blue Cardstock cut @ 3 & 1/4"   by 8 & 1/4", then ran it through Cuttlebug with tiny hearts emboss folder. Glued to top of base card with Xyron Machine

Navy strip running down left front side cut @ 1" by 3 &1/2", ran through cuttlebug with circles emboss folder. Glued with Xyron Machine.
Stamp Sentiment inside card with 3 Birds   (Happy Birthday) clear stamp. Use Colorbox Chaulk Ink Navy

Celebration "It's Your Day" Paper purse envelope and card

I added accordian folds to the side of the purse to make it thicker that it would have been. I add chain with wooden beads for the handle. I thought since the envelope was so fancy that the card should be simple. I added viva decor pearl pens on the card...if you guys have not used viva's pearl pens...you can find them in many colors at scrapyland.com

I have been using viva pear pens for about a year now and I love them. It is a liquid pearl that when it gets hard it forms this perfect pearl shape.

DRY SHAMPOO?

Has anyone ever tried this stuff. I recently just tested out a brand of dry shampoo Batiste. I would rather wash my hair but for those days when life throws you a curve ball and you really do not have time to wash your hair, give this a try.

It smells soft and did work in my blonde hair. It was also a life saver because I needed to go somewhere for a quick errand and did not have time to wash my hair and wait for it to dry. I do not use blow dryers because they are not good for your hair. I also would not use this dry shampoo but one day before washing my hair. It will not take the place of shampoo your hair but comes in handy when you need a quick fix.

My blog will be closed for about 2 weeks..We have more severe storms here Tuesday night with baseball size hail and extreme winds...WHAT is up with weather this year. Here in North Carolina, we never get tornados unless a hurricane send one our way...We have trees down..many trees are on my neighbors homes...

Making Children Purses from Jean Pant legs.

I am making these to hold some goodies for the children at the hospital where we sent cards to. Simple Purse made from Jeans Pant leg..I just cut off the bottom of each leg and seam it up. Easy Peasy. The bottom heam works as the opening of the purse (nothing there to do except add handles made from scraps.

I think the fabric flowers I am working on will be just perfect for these. I am going to hand stitch those on next to make sure they stay during washing...if the purse gets dirty. I will show you the finish purse sometimes this month when I have another huge surprise for all my followers....so you better make sure you check my blog each day for the great news....and giveaways.....

I made these simple card today because I really need one in like 5 minutes...It is not my usual..because I did not add ribbon or anything else but pop dots for 3d effect. The blue card all I did was fold my card stock in half...run through the emboss machine...then sand the image..add a flower, ribbon and brad...finished.....

Still trying to figure out what I want to do with these fabric flowers...

This idea is kinda neat for those who do not have a place to store their ribbons. This white tub can be purchased at walmart, very cheap. You just buy wooden dowel rods slide through one end of the tub place your ribbon on then run the other end of the dowel through the other end of the tub. This small tub holds 24 rolls of ribbon

Hello all my crafty friends. I am taking part in the International Blog Hop Friday March 18 - 20. I hope you can hop along with us and meet many of the wonderful talented ladies from around the Globe.

To tell you just a little about myself here goes:

I am from North Carolina, USA, on the East Coast side of the States.
I love to wildflower garden so my project will have some beautiful handmade fabric flowers on a few of them. I grew up in North Carolina, moved away to Colorado, then moved back. I love NC because you can drive to the beach or the mountains, so to me this is the best of both worlds. I love that we truly have 4 seasons to which I can grow many types of plants in my yard. I am 54 years young, lol with 3 beautiful grandchildren, 1 daughter, 1 stepson and a wonder husband who encourages my craft.

So for my family tradition in which the women took more part "Flower Gardening. I remember at 3 years old having a old wooden pallet that was turned upside down for a small garden, lol. It worked quite well though, It held the gardening soil and was just big enough for a toddler to plant her flowers. I think this was also a way for my Mom too keep me from walking all over hers.

Both my Parents and Grandparents are gone now, so are one of my sisters who died at young age of 23 and a brother at age 59. I have Rose Brushes and Flowers from all their funerals planted in my yard. Each year when they come into bloom I feel as if I have part of them here with me. I see the flowers popping out of the ground every spring it makes me smile and think of them. This is one reason I send plants to family and friends who have lost a love one that can be planted in their yard, because I think it is a good way to keep your loved ones with you, after they have passed.
Each time I moved I dug up my plants and carried them with me. I can not wait to see the buds every year starting to form on the plants. I know that spring is here and all the wintery gray days will be gone. I even dry some of the roses to place around my home. You just have to pick them and hang up side down in a dark cool closet for 6 weeks....I bundle them and hang with a large rubber band..

I made this card weeks ago, but just did not like it that much. I have been so busy with my craftroom that I decided I should post the cards that I do not think are that good. I think sometimes I judge myself really hard and think I should always remember not everything is always perfect, neither am I. So here it is my friend card, lol that I do not like that much.

What a mess I have

I need to add the drawer pulls and then organize. I have more to show you, but will wait until I am finished well almost finished. I took cubes and stacked and screw together and added white closet shelf board from Lowe's Home improvement to make my shelf. Some shelf was just screw to top of the units, but the ones that are for work area were added with L brackets. I have put these together a year ago, but thought that the white look more like primer, so I painted them with a good oil base paint. I refinished the table which is over 100 yrs old to house my bible and candy jar, lol. This little table was really dark and scratch. I know some people like my husband panic when you paint antiques instead of stain back the orginal color. You got have some good chocolate in your craft room. I also purchase these closet shelf and added to my craft closet. I just have to organize and make pretty. Next I want to make me a pretty lamp shade. I will post pics when I have it all put together. Sorry for the blur pic, but it was late at night and the light was not good and well I was tired, You get the idea.

Big Shot Machine to emboss the lid

. It is a cake gift box. I cut everything out in white Mat Board, but glitter some of it to turn it the color Hot Pink. I inked the lid with Hot Pink Ink pad after I had embossed it with flower folder. Pleated some ribbon added one of my home made paper roses made with walk in garden/pearl in the middle. I decided instead of it looking like a cake I would add craft wire with beads for a handle.

I thought my porch chairs need to be upholster, so I took a chance. The reason for buying fabric on clearance was so if I made a mistake I was not out very much money. I really like the way they turned out. It only cost me for fabric and materials $49

Instructions take any 6 petal flat flower. Cut a slit in between one petal up to center point as shown in top flower.
cut one petal completely out as shown in #2, Cut 2 petals competely out as shown in #3.

Now overlap all flowers and glue with favorite strong glue and hold shut with paper clips until dry. Cut off just a little tiny piece of each flowers bottom to get rid of the point, so when you assemble them later they will sit inside each other and stand up straight. I did forget to take a picture of the bottom, but the piece was so small that i cut off not sure if you could see it.

This is the 2 petals you cut out of the 3rd flower in the first photo, overlap and glue.

Now you should have 4 parts to your flower. assemble by starting the largest flower and glue inside it the next largest and so on. they will stack inside each other to form the rose.

Paint any craft stick you like for the stem. push through the flower in bottom center. I used strong glue dots for this

Brush on your favorite glue with paint brush or spray glue and sprinkle with glitter to match flowers.

I could not find a vase at home I wanted so I wrapped in red tissue paper and tied white ribbon. The next photo shows the vase

I took a picture of the card at a different angle so you could see it is an S-Shape card. I did not even measure, lol. I just score over to the point where I thought the fold would look good.

cricut machine cartridges and punch in this one. I used a balloon die from cricut cartridge and I stamp the larger balloon. You can use any stamp that fits the holiday or theme. Rub on by 3 Birds, added a strip of red down the side. used raffia for the string.

These S cards are easy to make. Just first decide the size you want to make the card. Next you just score the top of the card. Start at the right side and move over about 3".

You can still use the Christmas card cartridge

Hi this red base card was made using the Christmas Card cartridge, but color filled with Imagine More Cards Cartridge. I also cut out the scallop frame and sentiment with Imagine More Cards Cartridge. The size for the card is 5", frame and sentiment cut at 3". I then just cut a small white strip and ran it through my thing (lol can not remember what the heck that hand thingy called). I attached the white strip with a brad on each end. Of course everything was pop dotted. I put a simple stamp sentiment inside for someone's bday.
The base card is red, but it looks like the white background is part of the card. It is not part of the card, which makes the card appear to not be straight.

Sorry been missing in action. It has been really crazy busy around here. Please stop in often. I working on getting more prizes to giveaway and hope to have more projects posted. I have not even used my Spring 2011 seasonal bundle yet. I need to check out what that is all about.

I just wanted to share with you my new herb garden. I saw this idea somewhere, but do not remember. You paint your pots with chalk board paint and just write which herb or flower you are growing. Next just tie some raffia on the pot. Simple yet cute.

Pretty clips for your Magnet boards. You can hang photos or messages with the cute little clothes pins. Just glue on your paper , magnets and buttons. This would make a great craft project for your kids too.

Next is a neat idea using cans for candles on your deck or patio during a party. Paint and put holes in with nails. Very simple

So get crafting for your next party or just have fun with the kids. Hope you enjoy. Now I need to go play with my cricut, lol. It has been lonely

I used Big Shot and Sizzix Flower and left die. Sizzix dots emboss folder, new big shot machine.

Here are the cartridges use with my Imagine machine.

Cut at fit to page size

You can flood fill the flaps and center of card any color you choose.

I will use this as a card without an envelope. I stamped my sentiment inside. Attached a button. Underneath the button I place a circle pop dot to seal the card when ready to give away

I still need to trim the top and bottom of the lamp. I used 2 sheets very heavy 12 x 12 cardstock. This cardstock has almost a plastic type feeling to it. The lamp base are just two old lamps I keep in my craft room to built my shade upon. I think I will find some white pearl trim to finish off the lamp. I might see how it looks on a white wooden lamp base too. Do you know where I might order some white pearl trim off the internet? I do not have time to go shopping.

See her photo above. This is the first cat I have own. She is so sweet. Can you believe she was a ferrel cat and so wild. She is still afraid of my husband. I am the only one she trust. It took her long enough to trust me. I tried for 6 months.
